Jen Kelly-Barnett
Program Director
Born and raised in Saint John, New Brunswick, Jen Kelly-Barnett has always believed in the power of community and compassion. A proud graduate of St. Thomas University, Jen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Criminology with a minor in Psychology, a foundation that has guided her lifelong passion for helping others.
Residing in Quispamsis with her husband Matt and their son Jacob, Jen continues to make a positive impact in her community. Since 2021, she has been actively involved in both the Home and School Association and the Parent School Support Committee (PSSC), where she has served in Chair and Vice Chair roles. Known affectionately as “Lunch Lady Jen,” she has also volunteered as the school’s lunch coordinator, helping lead countless fundraising and community-building initiatives to enhance student life.
In 2019, Jen and her late brother, David “DK” Kelly, launched The Monkey Bandaid Project, raising $25,000 for the Saint John Regional Hospital Oncology Department to support continuing education for healthcare professionals. Together, they also created The David DK Kelly Memorial Bursary Fund, awarded annually to a student from David’s alma mater who demonstrates community spirit and is pursuing studies in the medical field — a legacy that continues to inspire.
Since 2016, Jen has been deeply involved with KV Crime Stoppers, serving in several leadership roles. In 2024, she was elected President of New Brunswick Crime Stoppers, where she continues to lead efforts in crime prevention awareness and community engagement across the province.
With over 20 years of experience in the financial and insurance industries, Jen brings strong leadership, financial literacy, and a people-first approach to everything she does. She remains passionate about giving back, creating connections, and helping her community move forward — one initiative at a time.
Sarah Margeson
Administrative Services Manager
With a business diploma in investment management and years of experience in finance and insurance, Sarah made a transformative shift from the corporate world to the heart of family. After having her children, she chose to take a pause from the workforce and run a home daycare, where she embraced her passion for helping children and families thrive.
Having faced her own battles with anxiety and depression, Sarah knows how vital it is to have a strong support system. Her personal journey inspired her to ensure that others can find the help and resources they need, whether it is bringing youth into skill-building programs, making families aware of free support services KV Oasis offers or simply by creating a welcoming space for connection.
When she’s not at work, Sarah loves every moment spent with her two kids, Jack and Brynley, who fill her heart with joy. Living in Quispamsis with her husband, Justin, she enjoys volunteering, meeting new people in the community, and indulging in her favorite pastime: cozying up with a good book and a warm cup of coffee.
